Coritiba beaten 3-0, second into the break

We signed off before the World Cup break in style, beating Coritiba 3-0 at the Maracanã in the Brasileirão. Samuel Lino ran the show with two goals, on 11 and 70 minutes, Pedro adding the second on the hour. The much-changed side we sent out never looked troubled, 62% of the ball and nine shots on target to two, helped along by a Coritiba red card; Jardim called it a game completely dominated. The one sour note was Léo Ortiz limping off early with a confirmed thigh injury. We head into the break second in the table, four points behind Palmeiras, with a pre-season camp in Portugal up next.
